Hosted in partnership with California Women for Agriculture and the California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom, Ag Day is an annual celebration recognizing California’s agricultural community by showcasing the bounty of crops and commodities produced in our state. It is also a day for farmers and ranchers to show their appreciation by bringing together state legislators, government leaders and the public for agricultural education.

FIRST Robotics Competition ARC at UC Davis

Bring your students out to UC Davis this weekend to see several high school robotics teams compete with the robots they have designed.  The theme for this year is Deep Space and robots will be placing hatches and filling rockets with balls.  Students will see amazing matches as well as have the chance to walk through the pits asking teams questions about their robots.  Will delight most students!!

Matches will be played Friday March 22 from 9-5:45 and Saturday March 23 from 9-4:30 with a short lunch break both days.

The event is free.  Parking is about $10.00.  Water bottles are allowed but outside food is not allowed.

Six Flags Read to Succeed

Read to Succeed is an exciting program that encourages students in grades K through 6 to read for fun. Students who complete six hours of recreational reading earn a free ticket to Six Flags! The program is available to teachers and schools at no cost to participate, and it's a great way to motivate kids to read.

Each spring Daffodil Hill explodes with thousands of blooms, attracting visitors from around the world. You are encouraged to call the recorded phone message at (209) 296-7048 to see if Daffodil Hill is open that day. At 18310 Rams Horn Grade, Volcano, California just 3.5 miles from Pine Grove.

The blooms are open Monday through Sunday, from 10 am - 4 pm, weather permitting.
